Description
Fruit-body club-shaped, 3-8 x 1-3 cm. Upper part warty, brown-black to black.
Stem rough or finely pleated, black. Flesh radially fibrillose, tough, white with black margin.
Occurrence
On dead stumps of broad-leaved trees, tufted.
Saprophyte.
