Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body spherical to oval-shaped with papilla, Ø 0.2-0.4 mm. Perithecia rough, scarlet- to brown-red, breaking through the bark in raspberry group-like groups. Often together with the pale orange-pink, cushion-shaped imperfect stage of Tubercularia vulgaris.
Occurrence
On living and dead branches of trees in woods, parks and public gardens
Saprophyte, (Parasitic?).
