Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body spherical to cone-shaped with a small nipple, Ø 0.3-0.5-mm. Perithecia black, smooth, with a circular zone around the papilla.
Occurrence
On Stinging Nettle and umbelliferous stems.
Saprophyte.
Related and/or similar species
- Leptosphaeria acuta common on stinging nettle stems from February to April.
