Description
Fruit-body beaker-shaped, Ø 1-2 cm. Inner surface pale grey-yellow to dingy white-yellow. Outer surface covered with fine, brownish warts, dingy ochrous yellow to pale grey-yellow, with serrated, torn margin with cobweb, stem absent or subterranean.

Occurrence
On sand, loam or clay deficient or rich in humus in broad-leaved and occasionally coniferous and mixed woods. April to autumn.
Saprophyte.
