Peziza depressa

Description
Fruit-body flattened saucer-shaped, Ø 2-4 cm. Inner surface purple-brown to chestnut. Outer surface scurfy, light purple-brown, purple tinge at the margin. Flesh a watery white milk.

Occurrence
On clay rich or deficient in humus in broad-leaved woods and shrubberies.
Saprophyte.
