Otidea bufonia

Description
Fruit-body irregularly bowl- to ear-shaped, split on one side, Ø 2-8 cm. Inner surface ochrous to cinnamon yellow-brown. Outer surface smooth to wrinkled, coarsely warty, ochrous brown to sepia grey-brown, white-woolly at the base. Flesh brown.

Occurrence
Among litter on humus-rich soil in avenues and mixed woods.
Possibly forming ectomycorrhiza.
