Description
Fruit-body 4-8 cm. Cap Ø 2-8 cm, deeply bowl-shaped. Inner surface olive-yellow-brown to dark brown. Lower surface ribbed, the ribs extending from the stem about halfway up the cup, downy, yellowish to olive-brown, whitish towards the apex.
Stem hollow, chambered, strongly ribbed, granular or smooth, white to yellowish brown, 2-4 x 1-3 cm.

Occurrence
On humus-rich, rich sandy soil in broad-leaved woods (Oak). April to June.
