Description
Fruit-body 5-10 cm. Cap 2-4 cm, irregularly lobed saddle-shaped, 2-lobed. Upper surface ochre, grey-yellow to grey-brown. Margin free of stem, lower surface smooth, whitish. Stem hollow, twisted or arched, with dents in places, hairy, white- to pale-cream, 6-12 x 1-2 cm.

Occurrence
On humus-rich sand and loam in woods and dune scrub. Summer to autumn.
