Description
Fruit-body 5-15 cm. Cap 3-6 cm, undulated, saddle-shaped, 2- to 3- lobed. Upper surface dingy white to creamy ochre. Margin free from stem, lower surface coarsely hairy, cream to yellow-brown.
Stem hollow, chambered, longitudinally deeply grooved and ribbed, white or dingy white to pale grey-brown, 4-13 x 1-5 cm.
Poisonous.

Occurrence
On humus-rich sand, clay loam in woods and on the edge of woods. Summer to autumn.
