Monilinia johnsonii

Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body cup- to saucer-shaped, Ø 4-9 mm. Inner surface pale brown. Outer surface pale brown to reddish brown.
Stem brown.

Occurence
On mummified (buried) Haws on calcareous soil in dune scrub and along the edge of woods. Imperfect stage on Hawthorn foliage. March to April.
Parasitic.
