Dumontinia tuberosa

Description
Fruit-body chalice- to beaker- to flattened saucer-shaped, Ø 1-3 cm. Inner surface brown to dark brown, smooth. Outer surface dark brown.
Stem 3-10 cm, brown, growing from a black sclerotium.

Occurrence
On rhizomes of Wood Anemones in broad-leaved woods and edges of woods on reasonably loamy or sandy soil. March to April.
