Hypomyces rosellus

Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body spherical to pyramid-shaped with papilla, Ø 0.1-0.2 mm, scattered on a crust of a few square centimetres. Perithecia pink-red, on a white hyphal mat which subsequently rapidly turns pink.

Occurrence
On old specimen of Stereum and Polyporus species, or (from the thoroughly rotted substrate) on mosses or rotting wood on the ground.
Parasitic.
