Pink Jelly Fungus
Description
Fruit-body ear-shaped to funnel-shaped, 3-10 x 2-5 cm. Inner surface matt, occasionally whitish pruinose, orange-pink to salmon or brown-red. Outer surface smooth, orange-pink to salmon or brown-red. Flesh gelatinous, elastic (see also 234B.jpg).
Edible.
Occurrence
On calcareous soils, sometimes on decayed soft wood.
Saprophyte.
