Description
Fruit-body tufted coral-shaped or flattened rosette-shaped, repeatedly branched, 3-6 x 2-4 cm. Upper surface branched once or multiple, flattened cylindrical with pointed, whitish tip, or flattened wide spatula-shaped with white fringe, matt, olive-grey to lilac-brown. Flesh elastic, dark brown. Smell none.
Spore-print colour brown.

Occurrence
Near deciduous tree (Beech, Willow) in deciduous woods on rich clay and humus-rich sandy soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
