Ceramic Parchment
Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body crust-like, cracking mosaic-like, consisting of polygonal blocks of 1-3 mm. Upper surface smooth, beige to grey-pinkish ochre. Lower surface brown to black.
Spore-print colour white. The fruit-bodies grow very slowly and can reach an age of over 20 years.
Occurrence
On bare heartwood of very old, fallen or standing dead Oak.
Saprophyte.
