Yellow Coral Fungus
Description
Fruit-body repeatedly branched, coral-shaped, 6-15 cm high, 10-15 cm wide. Branches 1-3 cm thick, repeatedly branched U- or V-shaped, usually ending in a double, pointed tip, sulphur-yellow to light egg-yellow.
Stem 5-7 cm thick, sulphur-yellow, white at the base. Flesh soft, whitish.
Edible.
Occurrence
On the soil in deciduous and coniferous woods in the Ardennes and in alpine regions.
