Description
Fruit-body annual, semicircular bracket-like to fan-shaped. Cap 2-10 x 2-6 cm, 1-2 cm thick. Upper surface concentrically undulate, warty, flattened felted to smooth, orange to orange-red, with acute margin.
Tubes 4-6 mm long, orange-red. Pores 2-3 per mm, circular or angular to elongate, orange-red. Flesh corky, tough, orange-red.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
On branches and trunks of deciduous trees (Birch, Mountain ash, Cherry).
Saprophyte.
