Description
Fruit-body annual, bracket-like, Ø 1-5 cm. Upper surface felty-fibrous, often zoned, young whitish, then yellow- or pale brown. Tubes and pores whitish, slowly turning orange-brown on bruising. Flesh brittle, easily pulverized, white.
Taste mild to somewhat bitter.
Spore-print colour white.
Occurrence
On dead wood of coniferous trees.
