Dichomitus campestris

Description
Fruit-body annual to perennial, crust-like to cushion-shaped, 4-15 x 2-10 cm, 5-15 mm thick, with blackening margin.
Tubes each layer 1-3 mm long, light ochre. Pores 1-2 per mm, irregularly polygonal, cream to pale wood-coloured or orange-brown. Flesh corky, light wood-coloured to ochrous.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
On dead and living branches of deciduous trees (Oak, Beech, Alder, Hazel).
