Vein Crust
Description
Fruit-body crust-like, oval to irregularly elongate, covers several square centimetres to several square decimetres. Upper surface irregularly radially pleated-veined to ridged, bright orange to dull flesh or violet-grey, with ciliate margin.
Spore-print colour white.
Occurrence
Common on dead branches (attached to the tree) and on trunks (rupturing the bark) of deciduous trees (Oak).
Saprophyte.
