Description
Fruit-body thick, crust-like with upturned margins, forming strips a few centimetres to several decimetres in length. Upper surface of the brackets matt, dark brown to black. Lower surface smooth or cracked, purple or blue-lilac to pinkish grey-brown.
Spore-print colour white.
Occurrence
Common on (hanging) Oak branches.
Saprophyte.
