Paper Fungus
Description
Fruit-body crust-like, leathery, elongate, with reflexed margins forming brackets, up to several tens of centimetres in length and a few centimetres in width. Brackets protruding far from the substrate. Upper surface hairy-felted, zoned, white to ochrous. Lower surface wrinkled-veined, strongly warty, whitish to ochrous, later brownish.
Occurrence
Common on the underside of fallen branches of deciduous trees.
Saprophyte.
