Phylloporia ribis f. evonymi
Description
Fruit-body annual to perennial, corky, shell- to fan-shaped, 3-15 x 2-10 cm, 1-2 cm thick. Upper surface concentrically zoned, finely felted, red-brown to black-brown, often green due to algal growth.
Tubes each layer 1-3 mm long, rusty brown. Pores 6-8 per mm, circular, cinnamon to reddish brown.
Spore-print colour light yellow.
Occurrence
At the base of the stem of living shrubs (Celastraceae).
Parasitic.
