Description
Fruit-body perennial, bracket-like, Ø 4-10 cm. Upper surface bristly-hairy, with small zones, dark brown, often green due to algal growths or lichens. Tubes orange-brown. Pores circular to elongate, 1-2 per mm, orange-brown.
Spore-print colour yellow-brown.

Occurrence
On trunks and stumps of fir in old coniferous woods.
Parasitic/saprophyte.
