Onnia triquetra

Description
Fruit-body annual, triangular, 3-10 x 2-6 cm. Cap flattened funnel-shaped, circular to oval, Ø 3-6 cm. Upper surface coarsely-felty, sometimes concentrically zoned, dark red-brown, young with a whitish margin. Tubes strongly decurrent, 2-5 mm, greyish white, then brown. Pores irregular, circular, up to 1 mm wide.
Stem conical, 1-2 x 1-2 cm, felty, base woolly-felty, rusty- to red-brown.
Taste mild.
Spore-print colour yellowish.

Occurrence
On trunks, roots and buried wood of fir.
Saprophyte.
