Description
Fruit-body growing from a thick stem, coral-shaped, repeatedly branched, with pendulous spines in irregular groups hanging from branches, Ø 5-30 cm. Stem Ø 1-4 cm, creamy white to pale yellow. Branches angular, flattened, 5-10 mm thick, creamy white to pale yellow. Spines awl-shaped, 5-10 mm long, creamy white.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
On big, strongly decayed trunks of Beech in parks and deciduous woods.
Saprophyte.
