Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body fibrous soft, honeycomb-shaped crust-like, covering up to a few square centimetres. Upper surface with fine, irregular pores, snow-white to white-ochre, with fibrous-hairy margin. Pores Ø 0.3-1 mm.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
On half-decayed (or burnt) wood lying in a sheltered location and on litter of deciduous and coniferous trees.
Saprophyte.
