Description
Fruit-body thin, round to elongate crust-like, waxy to hard, up to several dozens of centrimetres in length and a few centimetres in width. Upper surface smooth to lumpy-warty, matt, bright blue to dark blue, later blue-grey to grey-brown, with acute, occasionally felted margin.
Spore-print colour pale blue.

Occurrence
On deciduous wood.
Saprophyte.
