Typhula phacorrhiza

Description
Fruit-body filiform, 2-8 cm x 0.5-1 mm. Upper two thirds with obtuse, pale or pointed dark top, smooth, cream to honey-yellow.
Stem smooth, yellow, with a lentil-shaped, 2-4 mm long, pale brown sclerotium at the faintly felted base.

Occurrence
Common on fallen leaves and humus of deciduous trees. In large groups.
Saprophyte.
