Yellow-stemmed Chanterelle
Description
Fruit-body trumpet to funnel-shaped. Cap Ø 2-6 cm, depressed, matt, with irregularly undulate margin, yellow-brown to orange-brown. Lower surface with irregularly branched, decurrent wrinkles, light to dark orange-pinkish yellow.
Stem 2-7 cm x 5-10 mm, hollow, grooved, light to dark golden yellow or orange yellow. Flesh fibrous, yellowish. Smell pleasant. Taste mild.
Spore-print colour yellowish.
Edible.
Occurrence
In deciduous and coniferous woods.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
