Description
Cap hemispherical to convex, Ø 3-10 cm, sticky, shiny, yellow to chrome yellow orange-brown.
Tubes pale yellow. Pores small, angular, lemon-yellow, turning rusty brown on bruising.
Stem 5-7 cm x 15-20 mm, yellow at the apex, occasionally covered with coarse net, floccose below white ring, with cinnamon tinge. Flesh pale yellow to lemon-yellow. Taste faint. Smell faint.
Spore-print colour ochrous brown to yellowish brown.
Edible.

Occurrence
Near larch in coniferous and mixed woods on humus-rich, poor sand and loam, particularly along paths and on the edge of woods.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
