Mild Milk-cap
Description
Cap convex to shallowly funnel-shaped, Ø 3-6 cm, velvety, orange or bright orange-brown to apricot.
Gills slightly decurrent, pale ochre.
Stem 3-7 cm x 6-12 mm, orange-brown. Flesh white, milk white. Taste mild.
Spore-print colour creamy salmon.
Edible.
Occurrence
Not uncommon near coniferous trees (Fir) and Salix repens on sand..
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
