Description
Cap convex, then expanded with umbo, Ø 3-6 cm, grey-brown, with fine, felted, light grey-brown scales.
Gills whitish.
Stem 5-8 cm x 8-12 mm, whitish, scaly below the woolly, white ring. Flesh white. Smell flour-like.
Suspect.

Occurrence
Not uncommon near Willow species (favouring Salix repens) in Willow shrubberies and Willow woodland in coastal sand dunes, on river clay and on rich, humus soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
