Tephrocybe anthracophila

Description
Cap convex to plane, Ø 1.5-2.5 cm, striped, dark ochrous brown with a brown-black centre when damp; ochrous brown when dry.
Gills distant, decurrent with a tooth, whitish cream to beige.
Stem 3-5 cm x 3-5 mm, smooth, beige-brown to dark brown, white pruinose at the apex. Flesh cream. Smell flour-like-rancid.

Occurrence
Common on fire sites.
Saprophyte.
