Description
Cap vaulted to flat with a little bump, Ø 1-2.5 cm, smooth, matt, dark ochre brown to reddish brown, seldom white all over.
Gills broad, attached to almost free, whitish to grey white.
Stem 2-5 cm x 1-2.5 mm, tough, faintly white frosted and striped, light ochre coloured to red orange ochrous, with a lighter stem top and a felted, rooting base. Flesh thin, white. Smell faint, pleasant. Taste mild.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
On (burried) cones of Spruce in conifers on sand and clay.
Saprophyte.
