Description
Cap fan- to kidney-shaped, lateral stem, Ø 2-4 cm, with minute scales, matt, pale ochre-brown to cinnamon.
Gills sticky, pale cinnamon.
Stem 5-20 x 2-5 mm, pale ochre-brown. Flesh whitish to cream. Taste pungent. Smell fruity.
Suspect.

Occurrence
Common on stumps, trunks and branches of deciduous trees, favouring Oak, in woods. Spring to winter.
Saprophyte.
