Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Cap conical to bell-shaped, Ø 1-2 cm, grooved-striped, pale brown to brownish red with dark centre.
Gills adnate, white to flesh, with red-brown edge.
Stem 4-6 cm x 1-2 mm, pale brown to brownish red, exuding a blood-red milk when damaged. Flesh reddish. Smell faint.

Occurrence
Common on foliage, needle litter and decaying wood in coniferous and deciduous woods, heaths, peat bogs and grasslands. Summer to autumn.
Saprophyte.
