Flexible Bonnet Cap


Description
Cap bell-shaped to expanded with umbo, Ø 1-2 cm, matt, striped, white-fibrous, cream to yellowish beige, with grey-brown centre and whitish margin.
Gills white to light grey with white edge.
Stem 4-11 cm x 1-3 mm, hollow, stiff, occasionally pruinose, whitish at the apex, grey to pink-brown. Flesh whitish to watery grey. Smell none.

Occurrence
Common on (buried) branches and pieces of decaying wood of deciduous trees in woods. Summer to autumn.
Saprophyte.
