Description
Cap broadly conical to convex, Ø 1-4 cm, striped, whitish yellow to grey-brown with olive-green tinge.
Gills close, adnexed, whitish to pale pink.
Stem 2-4 cm x 1-2 mm, light grey to dark grey, with white-downy base. Flesh pale yellow to grey. Smell flour-like or of radish.

Occurrence
Common on branches and stumps of wood of deciduous trees, occasionally in large numbers on decaying thatched roofs. Tufted. Summer to autumn.
Saprophyte.
