Description
Cap conical to bell-shaped expanding with umbo, Ø 2-3 cm, finely striped, red-brown to chestnut, with scalloped margin.
Gills adnate, whitish to pink.
Stem 5-10 cm x 2-4 mm, whitish pruinose, pale brown to dark brown, with white-felted base.
Occurrence
Fairly common on stumps and fallen Oak trunks in deciduous woods. Tufted.
