Description
Cap conical to bell-shaped expanded, Ø 2-6 cm, creamy brown or grey-brown to pink-brown, paler and finely furrowed-striate at the margin.
Gills broad, distant, adnate with a tooth, white to flesh-pink, the gills are often adnate and veined at the base.
Stem 2-10 cm x 2-8 mm, hollow, tough, light grey-brown, with white-fibrous base. Flesh white. Smell flour-like.

Occurrence
Common on decaying wood and bark of (living) deciduous trees, occasionally of coniferous trees. Often tufted. Summer to autumn.
Saprophyte.
