Melanoleuca rasilis

Description
Cap vaulted to expanding, with a low wide bump in a depressed centre, Ø 2-6 cm, shiny, dark brown when moist, matt, grey brown with a greyish rim when dry.
Gills wide apart, grey white to grey beige.
Stem 3-6 cm x 3-6 mm, grey beige to dark grey. Flesh whitish or yellowish to ochre-brown. Taste weak, rancid. Smell weak.

Occurrence
On the ground in dune grasslands, sea dunes, deciduous and coniferous forests and parks on humus-rich, calcareous sand soils.
Saprophyte.
