Description
Cap convex to broadly bell-shaped expanded, Ø 1-4 cm, beige to pale brown, with grooved-striped margin.
Gills whitish to pale yellow.
Stem 5-20 cm x 1-3 mm, velvety, beige-brown at the apex, brown-black to black, with rooting base. Flesh whitish to grey. Smell garlicky.

Occurrence
On (buried) Beech branches in Beech woods on calcareous soil.
Saprophyte.
