Tawny Funnel Cap

Description
Cap flattened convex to broadly depressed funnel-shaped, Ø 5-9 cm, smooth pale pink-yellow or ochre-brown to yellow-brown or orange-brown, with incurvate, pale margin.
Gills forked, close, deeply decurrent, cream to light beige-red.
Stem 2-5 cm x 5-15 mm, pale ochre to pale orange-brown, with white-felted base. Flesh cream. Smell faint, sweet.
Edible.
Occurrence
Common among leaves and needles and in humus of deciduous and coniferous woods on rich soil. Summer to autumn.
