Description
Cap convex to plane, Ø 1-6 cm, scurfy, purple-lilac to pale lilac.
Gills distant, purple-lilac, powdered white with spores.
Stem 4-10 cm x 5-10 mm, purple-lilac to purple-brown, whitish fibrous at the base, with purple mycelium fluff. Flesh lilac. Smell faint.
Occurrence
Common in coniferous and mixed woods and avenues (Beech, Oak) on dry sandy soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
