Slippery-eel Wax Cap
Description
Cap hemispherical to convex, Ø 1-3 cm, slimy-sticky, translucent striped, ochrous grey to grey-brown.
Gills broad, grey-white.
Stem 3-5 cm x 3-5 mm, flattened, slimy, light grey-brown, pale at the apex. Flesh watery grey-brown. Smell none.
Occurrence
In poor, old grasslands on sand, clay and peat.
Saprophyte.
