Description
Cap shell-shaped, without stem, Ø 2-9 mm, smooth, translucent striped when moist, with small white flakes when dry, whitish to pale grey or grey brown to sepia- or black brown.
Gills whitish to pale ochre-coloured. Flesh with a gelatinous greyish layer and a thin cream to whitish layer. Taste flour-like. Smell flour-like.
Occurrence
On dead twigs and branches of deciduous trees (Willow and Poplar) and dead stems of herbaceous plants (Nettles and 'umbellifers' or species of the Carrot family) in moist forests and marsh vegetation on nutrient-rich soils.
