Flammulina fennae

Description
Cap convex to plane, Ø 2-8 cm, smooth, slimy, white to pale yellow or pale yellow-brown.
Gills whitish yellow to pale yellow.
Stem 3-5 cm x 3-4 mm, tough, velvety, dark brown, white-yellow at the apex. Flesh pale yellowish. Smell pleasant.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
On (buried) wood or at the base of deciduous trees in woods, avenues, parks and undergrowth on rich moist soil. April to October.
Saprophyte. (Parasitic?)
