Common Funnel Cap
Description
Cap funnel-shaped with a wavy rim, Ø 3-8 cm, silky smooth, pale pinkish yellow to ochre-coloured.
Gills descending, closely packed, whitish.
Stem 3-8 cm x 5-10 mm, tough, pale yellow with a somewhat swollen base. Flesh whitish to yellow. Smell weakly sweet.
Occurrence
Amongst leaf litter and needles on nutrient-deficient sand or loam.
Saprophyte.
