Description
Cap hemispherical to convex, Ø 2-5 cm, slimy-sticky, ochre-brown to date-brown, with concentric, whitish to grey-brown scales when dry.
Gills light grey-brown to grey-black.
Stem 6-11 cm x 4-9 mm, whitish to light brown at the apex, below the pendulous, membranous ring white-felted-scaly on a light brown background. Flesh creamy yellow. Taste mild. Smell faint.
Suspect.

Occurrence
Not uncommon on woodchips, coarse litter or buried wood debris in deciduous woods, parks and public gardens on rich clay and dry sandy soil.
Saprophyte.
